For MOMs by MOMs: Answering Questions

Hello there! Today I'm linking up with Jennifer at Blessed with Two. She is answering questions about raising multiples, so I thought I would chime in.

When I was pregnant I loved learning how other MOM's run their day to day life. Now that the twins are here, I still find that I need to learn more. The more prepared I am, the smoother each transition seems to work.

So here are some of my answers to the questions Jennifer is addressing today... (I'm not typing the questions exactly because I'm doing this on my phone.)

Were your twins personalities similar to how they were when you were pregnant?
YES!!!! When I was in bed rest the nurses use to always tell me that Harper would be my little diva. Well they were right!!! She is a busy bee. She needs constant attention and entertainment. Also, she is always on the move and kicks a lot too. Which is exactly how she is outside of the womb. Poor Avery was stuck at the bottom and all crunched up. She was so easy for the nurses to monitor too. Today she is still easy going and relaxed.

Did you sleep train? If so, when did you start?
I did start a sleep routine with babies when they were 2 weeks old. I loosely followed the Moms on Call method. They started sleeping through the night at 2 1/2 months old. Now, we still feed them every 3 hours so they get as much as possible throughout the day so they are full enough to sleep through the night.

My babies wake at 6:00 to eat and then go back to sleep until 8:00 or 8:30. We do this because I'm working and we leave the house for daycare around 7:00.

We are still working on a napping schedule. We don't have that mastered yet. However, they generally take a cat nap at 10:00 and then a long afternoon nap at 1:00. Just depends on the day!

Which stroller do you use...pros and cons?
We have a Baby Jogger City Select. I LOVE this stroller. It is not too heavy and it will transition into a stroller we can use as they grow. Right now we just use the infant carrier attachments. They are still too small for the regular seats. Fortunately, there is not one thing I can say negative about this stroller. You can check out our stroller here....

How do you balance treating your twins fairly?
Jeremy and I do a really good job of spending equal amounts of time with the twins. We trade feeding the twins during each feeding in the evenings and on the weekend. Generally when one wakes early from a nap, it's a great way to get that one on one time in. Also, there have been a few times where I will take one twin out with me while the other one stays home with Jeremy. As they get older we will do more one on one dates with them away from the house. Even though they are twins, it is very important to me that we develop an individual relationship with each of them. So far it seems to be working out well for us!

I have really enjoyed this link up posts. So glad that Jennifer, Megan, Heather and Amanda are helping MOM's connect.

That's all for now folks!!
