I'm still here!

It had been far too long since I last posted. Over be summer we decided to sell our house and buy a new one. Needless to say it consumed all of my time when my girls were fast asleep. We moved two weeks ago and we are finally getting in a routine.

I'll be back soon.

Summer Time

There is no doubt that we are ready for summer!! Fortunately it will officially start on June 8th for me. My last day of school is June 7th. Last weekend I put the girls in their swimsuit after church, so they could check out their pool.

The water was a bit cold, so they didn't stay in for too long. We will give it a try again on a warmer day.

Yesterday I made homemade Popsicles for the girls. They were easy to make and much heal other than the sugar loaded store brands. They were definitely a hit!! The girls still need to figure out how to hold the Popsicle. They kept trying to hold the actual Popsicle instead of the stick.

In 9 days this is how I will get to spend the next 2 1/2 months withy sweet girls. I cannot wait to spend lazy summer days with them.

Heartbroken

My heart is absolutely heart broken for all of the victims in Oklahoma. When a tornado is approaching I get a lot of anxiety. I cannot even imagine how all of the children and teachers in the two schools felt, as well as the residents in Moore. Ever since having my twins, I have met some pretty amazing mommy's through the blog world. Heather is a fellow twin mom. On Monday, Heather took 1 year old twins into the storm shelter as the tornado came barreling through. When she emerged from her storm shelter she discovered her home was completely destroyed. Unfortunately this is not the first time she has experienced such a catastrophe. On May 3rd, 1999 she and her husband lost their home as well. I cannot even imagine how they feel right now. A few amazing bloggers set up a Paypal account for donations for the Mills family. You can go to this PayPal link to help this sweet family out. I know there are many other charities collecting donations, but this would go directly to the Mills family. They need all the help they can get as they try to rebuild their lives.

Lets Celebrate

Tuesday evening we went to Chuy's, our favorite Mexican restaurant, to celebrate our babysitters birthday. We absolutely love Kayla and feel so blessed to have her in our life. She is extremely caring, nurturing, and sweet to Avery and Harper. They absolutely adore her. So glad they have such an amazing caretaker each day. Makes it a little easier for me to go to work everyday!

Avery didn't want to take off her shades during dinner. If you might remember, she loves to wear accessories. Such a silly girl!

Harper is just like her momma, she loves to pick up and clean after others. She spent a few minutes wiping off the table after dinner.

Hopefiilly we will celebrate many more birthdays with Kayla. We love you, Kayla!

Dallas Aquarium

(Once again our posed pics are not the best. Don't they look thrilled...ha ha!!)

We have been busy bees the past couple weekends. This weekend we decided to take a trip to the Dallas Aquarium. It is hands down much better than the zoo!! The animals were much easier for the girls to see. Also, I felt like it was a more up close experience with the animals. One of our favorite exhibits was the sharks. We walked through a tunnel and all of the sharks, as well as sting rays, were swimming around us. It was a bit creepy, but so cool to see.

We also saw a fresh water aquarium full of fish, manatees, and turtles.

The flamingos and birds were pretty exciting for the girls to see too. They actually got to feed a small bird, which was pretty cool. It was so funny because we had to keep the girls from eating the blueberries, they were for the birds to eat.

After our little adventure downtown, we came home and put the girls down for a nap. Before they went to sleep I took a snapshot of the back of their dress. This is by far one of my favorite dresses that they have.

Hope you had an awesome weekend with your family. We have another busy one planned next weekend.
