The twins and I at 20 weeks.
How Far Along: 20 Weeks Size of baby: 6.5 inches and 10.5 ounces. About as long as a banana. Gender: We will find out at our gender reveal party on October 22nd. I'm getting very anxious and curious. Maternity Clothes: Some regular shirts and dresses, but mostly maternity. Weight gain: 10 approximately...we'll find out at my appointment on Octob er 24th. Movement: Moving and kicking like crazy. It's such an amazing feeling. Sleep: Having major hip pain when I sleep. I'm surprised, since I'm not huge yet. Symptoms: No symptoms at all. Still have lots of energy. Cravings: Nothing in particular. Best moment this week: Jeremy finally felt the babies kick. He was thrilled!!
Pregnancy Highlights: The babies are swallowing more these days, which is good practice for their digestive system. They are also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and we'll see it in his first soiled diaper. (Information from babycenter.com) 21 Weeks with the twins
How Far Along: 21 Weeks Size of baby: 10.5 inches and three-quarters of a pound. About as long as a carrot. Gender: We will find out at our gender reveal party on October 22nd. I'm getting very anxious and curious. Maternity Clothes: Some regular shirts and dresses, but mostly maternity. Weight gain: It's official I've gained more than I thought. Weighed myself today and I have gained 15 pounds. Hopefully that starts to slow down soon. That would mean a 1.5 pounds a week for the past month. Movement: Moving and kicking like crazy. It's such an amazing feeling. Sleep: Having major hip pain when I sleep. I'm surprised, since I'm not huge yet. Symptoms: No symptoms at all. Still have lots of energy. Cravings: Nothing in particular. Best moment this week: Getting out house ready for our family to come into town. Jeremy put one of the cribs together. Pictures below of the crib and Jeremy trying to figure out how to put it together.
Pregnancy Highlights: The babies feel like they are practicing martial arts and their initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. I may also discover a pattern to their activity as I get to know them better. In other developments, the babies eyebrows and lids are present now. (All information from babycenter.com
